Our Story

The idea was born on the heritage Salt Spring Island property, The Old Schoolhouse farm. We found the rising hay and grain costs to be unsustainable for our small scale operation. We didn't want to compromise on feed quality for our animals, so after what felt like a lifetime of research we discovered the historic method of sprouting grain. A solution which neither compromised our organic standard for our animal's feed, nor broke the bank. After much trial and error, we perfected the conditions and methods for sprouting, and have built a system big enough to meet the needs of the community.

We know that we are not alone in our values of health and wellbeing for our animals. The livestock that reside on our farm have never been healthier and happier!
